Hola!

I’ve been lusting over all the new-release books that are supposed to be happening before the end of the year (it’ like windows shopping for me) and I getting more and more excited with every “coming soon” description I read!

When an author I LOVE has a new release coming out, I will and/ or:

A) Pre-order that sucker on Amazon!
B) Add a reminder to my phone for the day of the release (this may or may not include a happy dance)
C)….or I’ll literally schedule an event on my calendar (like a legit meeting) with an alert that says
“Holy $h*t, [insert author’s name] book is finally out!!!! 🥳 Stop everything you’re doing and go buy it! … Buy it now!”

Some people might call me crazy.

… I remind them that there is a fine line between crazy and genius. 😉

Because there is nothing I hate more than waiting…

[BONUS points if you just said that last line like Inigo Montoya from The Prince Bride]

… but there is also nothing I love more than a NEW BOOK from an author I love.

New books require celebration!

So much that I might clear my weekend for them PLUS pick up a box of my favorite wine so I can lazy around and read all fancy-like.

(Yes, box wine is fancy if I buy the “expensive one” … it’s better than you think. 😁❤️ Trust me on this. But I digress… )

Emerald Blaze
(A Hidden Legacy Novel)

by Ilona Andrews
Release Date: August 25, 2020

I LOVE this author with every piece of my book-loving heart! I was obsessed with her Kate Daniels series and have gotten 100% hooked on this newer series from her too. If you love snarky female characters, hot men, and a touch of magic (hehehe), then this is a series for you. :)Emerald Blaze promises to be another amazing addition to the Hidden Legacy series with non-stop action, romance, magic, and powerful, snarky women [**happy sigh**].

A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire
(Blood and Ash #2)

by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Release Date: September 1, 2020

This series is by far one of JLA’s best and the world she has created is unlike I have ever seen from her. PLUS, I die a little every time I see her book covers… they’re too gorgeous NOT to love ❤️

Hideaway

by Nora Roberts
Release date: May 26, 2020

Hideaway feels very much like a family saga in the first half, and a romance in the second half, with fun little romantic suspense elements that keep the pace moving! I’ve been a long-time fan of Nora Roberts (and 100% crush on her other pen name, J.D. Robb) so if you love her books, this one will not disappoint 🙂

Deal with the Devil
(a Mercenary Librarians Novel)

by Kit Rocha
Release date: July 28, 2020

Deal with the Devil is an action-packed, hilarious, engaging, and sexy sci-fi/dystopian novel. PLUS it involves “Mercenary Librarians” so it’s almost as if I HAD to read it… seriously. Who wouldn’t love to grow up to be a mercenary librarian??? (Can they add this to the next college job fair?)

Chasing Cassandra
(The Ravenels, Book #6)

by Lisa Kleypas
Release Date: February 18, 2020

Reading Lisa Kleypas is SUCH a pleasure! Her books are just so darn good and her heroes are scrumptious. I was already in love with this series and all the characters but I’ve been waiting for Tom and Cassandra’s book since I read Marrying Winterborne!!

Here’s a short summary…

Hero: Tom Severin, railway and real estate mogul, genius, and HOT (of course)

Heroine: Cassandra Ravenel, the beautiful and smart woman who teaches the hunky hero how to love.

This book right here is exactly why I love historical romance. When you’re ready to swoony, giggle, and smile with the sweetness of it all, this is the book for you.
